My first ever .32S&WL loads were about that - 1.35gr N310 with 98gr cast Magnus LWCs in my Haemmerli 280; now I shoot 1.8ish-gr W231 with those same bullets, and my 280 shoots them just fine...at 25 yards, at least; I have never tried them at 50. rvlvrlvr. Witryna15 mar 2012 · To properly load the S&W case you will need either S&W (not Long) or .32 ACP dies. Long, H&R mag and .327 dies cannot be adjusted to properly bell the short cases. However, the faster powders work best IMHO. 1 Lb. of Bullseye will load over 3000 rounds of 32 ammo.

There are a lot of Lyman manuals to be had, from very old to very new.

However, the comparable costs appear to be 32 are 2/3 the cost of 45 bullets. So 32 is marginally cheaper, but 45 is far easier to load and requires about the same skill….

Phillip Sharpe (1937) gives hot .32 S&W Long data, and I'm sure the pressure readings are low on some of them.
